Hello world! (Again)

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing!

I left that there on purpose.

I have many times tried my hand at the obscure, outdated, and pointless art form known as blogging. (That thing that people who run mom’s groups on Facebook do.) Here I am again. Hi! I’ve done this before but tired of it, mostly because blogging often consists of those terrible things called opinions, and I am utterly incapable of holding a single opinion about anything long enough. Seriously I change those things all the time. Can’t stop. Help please.

My interest in blogging (ugh that word, just sounds weird as hell) comes from my interest in the blogging platform WordPress, (which once upon a time was known as such, now they market it another Content Management System For Building Any Kind of Website). Playing around with WP has always been good fun for me. I used to enjoy customizing it and trying to  build plugins and such. The main problem with experimenting with a website platform is it’s no fun without any actual content. I heavily doubt that will change now, but here’s a stab at it.

I will say that super seriously don’t care if anyone actually reads any of this. Because caring about what other people think is for social media! And if I wanted to be in instantly famous I’d do something hackneyed and common like starting a YouTube channel or something. So why am I doing this? And if I wanted to be in instantly famous I’d do something hackneyed and common like starting a YouTube channel or something. So why am I doing this? Because typing is fun. Very cathartic. Makes an ever-so-pleasant clickety clackety sound. Almost like playing the piano but making mistakes sounds exactly the same. Because typing is fun. Very cathartic. You can’t play it in the background. You have to give it your full attention. It takes discipline to read and write in this day and age, folks. (Did I just say “folks?” What am I, a talk show host?) And maintaining the written word in the modern age of Google & Co. is something I feel strongly about when I have nothing else to think about.

So hello, Internet. There will be no real name revealing this iteration (at least for now). For now I am just letters on a page. You may enjoy these letters, you may not. There will be more opinions (yeerk!), retractions of opinions, rants, corrections, rants, complaints, inspirational lame quotes, and (about once a year?) something actually worth reading.
